24 Hours Later

What a difference a day makes.
They took Titus off the BiPAP machine this morning. They started him with a face mask on a high-flow, but he was not happy with the mask. So they moved him to a nasal canula. And, combined with the methadone (which is part of weaning him off the other pain meds), he has been a happy camper. After playing in his bed for 6 hours, he has finally conked out for a nap.

If he continues to improve, He could be home by Monday/Tuesday. But, as we have learned, one day at a time.
And, here's his new trick - smacking his lips.

So glad Titus is doing better and will be home soon! I remember when Rachael was extubated after 3 days with a tube down her throat. I was so happy and couldn't bear to see her in that much discomfort...
